A Portrait with Power
Ingrid Yuzly Mathurin’s 'Mr B' goes to auction to champion young innovators.

As we count down to the close of this incredible year of growth, creativity, and youth innovation, we’re excited to launch a powerful opportunity that supports our student programming and gives you a chance to take home an extraordinary work of art.
To kick off, we launch our virtual post Miami Art Basel auction experience, aligning with the global celebration of art and culture before their next stop at Qatar Art Basel in February 2026.
We are honored to partner with Haitian American painter and muralist Ingrid Yuzly Mathurin for the auction of “Mr. B,” a one-of-a-kind portrait created to uplift, affirm, and empower our Youthpreneurs.
The auction is live now and closes on December 31, 2025.
Every bid(starting at $1,500) directly supports our Youthpreneur Incubator, educational programming, and our students’ entrepreneurial journeys - bringing us closer to our year-end goal.
About the Artist
Ingrid Yuzly Mathurin is an award-winning Haitian American oil painter and muralist whose bold, mirror-mosaic portraiture has been featured at the Brooklyn Museum of Art and in collaborations with the Los Angeles Lakers, Peacock TV, and United Way. A 2024 Soho House Creative Fellow, NYFA Artist as Entrepreneur, and winner of The Other Art Fair’s New Futures Award, Ingrid is widely recognized as one of today's most compelling cultural storytellers, known for honoring Caribbean identity and amplifying Black diasporic narratives. Her work has appeared in the Afro-Latinx Mixtape exhibition and on the cover of Fordham University Press’s Jimmy’s Faith.
About the Artwork — Mr B
Mr B is a vivid, character-driven portrait that captures the brilliance and intensity of a cultural icon through bold color, confident stylistic choices, and Ingrid Yuzly Mathurin’s signature blend of realism and expressive pattern work. Set against a vibrant green backdrop, the figure’s sharply tailored orange suit, patterned tie, and reflective pink sunglasses create a striking interplay between individuality, intellect, and style. The poised hand gesture and strong gaze invite viewers into a moment of contemplation, coolness, and authority—hallmarks of Ingrid’s ability to transform portraiture into narrative.
Through this piece, Ingrid merges fine-art technique with cultural storytelling, honoring the legacy of thinkers and creators whose voices have shaped history. Mr B stands as a testament to her commitment to elevating Black diasporic identity through color, texture, and presence.
Auctioned in partnership with Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow, Mr B begins at $1,500, with all proceeds directly supporting Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow’s student programming, grants, and empowering our Youthpreneurs.
